Just as a goalless draw seemed inevitable, the decisive moment arrived. On a quick counter in the 93rd minute, Alejandro Organista found Borges inside the box. The Uruguayan forward, who had replaced Kevin Velasco in the 62nd, finished precisely past Luis Jiménez. The goal stunned the Estadio Victoria and sealed Necaxa's third consecutive league defeat, following losses to Cruz Azul and León.
Manager Martín Varini did not make immediate comments after the final whistle. His team must now pick themselves up quickly.
